Chinese PWC maker told to stop using Suzuki engines:
.
American Suzuki Motor Corp. has obtained a temporary restraining order against a Chinese boat manufacturer for selling PWC and jet boats with unlicensed Suzuki engines.
.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida issued a temporary restraining order against Jiujiang Hison Motor Boat Manufacturing Co, Ltd. (“Hison”), requiring Hison to take its PWC and jet boats with Suzuki engines off the market immediately.
.
The temporary rest raining order specifically prohibits Hison from manufacturing, importing, selling, distributing, advertising or promoting PWC and jet boats with Suzuki engines in the U.S.
.
Not only is Hison unlicensed to use Suzuki engines on those products, the suitability of Suzuki engines in PWC and jet boats has not been tested by Suzuki. Consumers are notified that the infringing engines mounted in Hison’s PWC and jet boats are not warranted by Suzuki.
