Discussions are underway amongst the Clubs with regards the last two rounds, as well as the North Island Champs, and as soon as these are finalised I will forward out to you all the relevant details.

Supplementary Stock Class Rules
Last season the Summer Tour Committee voted on a proposal that we adopt some supplementary rules for the Ski Stock Classes (both Novice and E/E). These changed rules will once again apply for the 2011-2012 season and will only affect competitors wishing to compete on a Yamaha Superjet – all other brands must comply with the 2011 NZJSBA Stock Class Rules.
Attached please find a copy of the 2010 NI Summer Tour Ski Stock Supplementary Rules flyer.
Please note that at present the above rules only apply to the Summer Tour and not the NZ Nationals.
Entry Fees
To remain the same as last season :
Postal Entry $ 70.00
Enter on the Day 100.00
Additional Class 20.00
Day Licence (max 2 per season) 25.00
Once again, entry forms must be completed fully and sent to the hosting club (including a signed indemnity waiver) prior to the event to avoid paying the late entry fee price. This decision was aimed at trying to avoid delays in the start of racing due to excessive paperwork on the morning of racing.
Registration fees, however, may be paid on the day.
NZJSBA
Licences
Individual or 1st Family Member – $100 – Additional Family Member $60.
Important – These can now only be applied and paid for at a sanctioned NZJSBA event. Any concerns or queries regarding this please contact Fraser McLean on 021 996 420 or email fraser@orcon.net.nz
HSR Benilli
Please note – apart from the current S4 models, NO new models of the HSR Benilli will be homologated and therefore unable to compete in any NZJSBA sanctioned event – North Island Summer Tour & Champs, NZ Jet Sport Nationals as well as club events.
Boat Numbering
To enable lapscorers to read the number on your craft and thereby score you correctly, it is important that all competitors make sure their numbers comply with the rules in the Rule Book :-
- o They must be at least 200mm high
- o They must be solid black numbers
- o They must be on a white background
- o And they must be on the flattest most forward part of the ski
Points & Dropped Round
No dropped round – all classes to receive full points – 60 point system.
Series Trophy
The perpetual trophy –
“North Island PWC Summer Series – Sportsmanship Trophy” donated by the Hamilton Club, will once again be awarded at the final summer tour prize giving to a person who :
- o Has displayed exceptional sportsmanship and diligence
- o Attended and supported all events
- o Showed commitment to the competitive side of the sport
- o Been an example to onlookers, both spectators and fellow competitors, in behaviour and attitude.
The recipient of this trophy for the 2011/2012 series will be decided at the second to last round, thereby enabling the cup to be presented at the final prize giving. Nominations are encouraged from all – be on the look out and if you have anyone you would like to nominate then contact either myself or your Club tour representative.
As mentioned above, further information regarding both the Summer Tour and the North Island Champs will be sent to you as soon as it has been decided by the hosting clubs/club representatives.
Hope you all enjoy the series.
