If you are from Christchurch, it won’t be hard for you to cast your mind back 16 months ago to February the 22nd 2011, I’m sure even if you’re not from Christchurch it shouldn’t be too hard to think back to this day.
The 22nd of Feb was a bit of a turning point for Christchurch city, with a magnitude 6.3 earthquake destroying a lot of our city.
Our good friends and long time supporters at Mike Phillips Watercraft had their showroom and workshop thrown round and floor cracked, giving way to tons of liquefaction which came up through the cracks creating a beach like theme in the normally immaculate showroom.
16 months later, things are finally getting back to normal. Brad and the team have finally just shifted back into their original showroom and workshop at 362 St Asaph St, in-between
Fitzgerald ave and Barbadoes St’s.
The workshop is completely up and running and their showroom is coming along very nicely.
Currently in the showroom is a good range of Sea-Doo, Kawasaki and Yamaha second hand four-stroke personal watercrafts.
There are still a few brand-spanking new 2012 Sea-doo’s in stock with more on their way. Currently in construction is a huge riding gear and accessory area which is very exciting for them.
So if you’re in the area, call in and say hi and show your support to the huge effort they have made to get back on their feet!
