There are several aspects of accommodation in Kinloch, so for those of you whom wish to stay out there in this amazing little hamlet, give Julie Schierning a ring on 07 377 4841 and she can advise you what’s available.
Taupo city is only a 20 min drive from Kinloch, with many options available there.
The informal ramp we are using, is an unsealed ramp, but you need 4×4 as it is pebbles, or just trolleys. (Grass Reserve either side of track)
There is a Huge amount of parking on the grass reserve area, All Respect and Care for this Reserve is to be taken at all times!!
As with Taupo’s boat ramp permit scenario, the marina ramp is $20 a day, John is trying to source a better deal for those whom require this option.
Fuel is available there BP 98 and Diesel on C/Card or eftpos only, NO CASH as it is unmanned.
They have booked a Hot Food Truck for the site as well as a Coffee Vendor.
There is a Store, pies and takeaways etc, and beers etc,
Crouton Cafe on road in, good food and nice breakfasts, lunches etc
Tipsy Trout next to Fire Station, and Ramps, Food all day and a garden bar.
